Lumary Smart RGBAI Recessed Light: Versatile 4-in-1 Lighting

This Lumary RGBAI Smart Recessed Lighting is an 8-inch retrofit option that features a main LED light and a unique gradient accent light.

I personally appreciate the impressive lighting capabilities this fixture offers. The RGBAI technology allows for multiple colors to display simultaneously in the accent ring, creating dynamic and customizable effects. I can choose from 16 million RGB colors, adjust white temperatures from 2700K to 6500K, and dim the brightness from 1% to 100%. This level of functionality provides extensive control over the ambiance in any room.

The installation was straightforward, designed to fit into existing recessed can light openings. The build quality feels solid, and it seems robust for long-term use. Controlling the lights via the Lumary app, Alexa, or Google Assistant is very convenient.

The one thing I'd like to see improved is that the main downlight and the gradient accent light cannot be used at the same time; they operate as separate modes. Also, like many smart lights, it's not compatible with traditional dimmer switches, so control needs to be through the app or voice assistants.

These lights are really nice. You can use siri or Google assistant to control them.

The light is easy to install, I was switching out 'dumb' recessed lights so cables and hole was already cut.

Lights them selves have a temperature tunable white light in the center that can get very bright and a halo of 12 lights that are each tunable to any color and comes with effects of pulsing or chasing around the center light. In the app they are treated like two separate lights, and this is what shows up in your smart home set up as well.

Lumary is bang for its buck compared to the big names. Their products themselves are top notch, I have been using them for years. The app has some quarks, and could use some more intuitive features, but small price to pay.

I had an issue with Google home not working with Lumary. Started a support ticket and they did something on their end with in 12 hours and fixed the issue. Was very surprised and happy at how good the support was. Have only used support twice in the 5 years of Lumary, both times they resolved my issue quickly.

These were easy to fit into my existing holes in my kitchen ceiling (I removed the old cans to put these in). They look great and are easy to hook up to the app, I have various other Lumary lights and know the app well, allowing for full smart control. Bright enough and a nice range of white choices, plus a good color selection.

I must admit I was a little confused when I ordered this. I don't have any recessed lights. I do live in a 125 year old home with limited lighting options. So I definitely found a need for this. My installation was a bit unconventional but was incredibly easy. It works flawlessly with my smart home setup. This was placed in a location of my home that had absolutely no light and was rather dangerous traversing at night. I am beyond pleased with the safety this is bringing. Well worth the price, in my opinion. And such a low power draw. I even ran this on a small power station for a few hours.
