This light checks all the boxes. Pairs up with Alexa nicely. I love smart lights and voice control. So much easier than grabbing the phone and opening an app. I wish it paired with the Smart Life app because I use that for most of my smart products. But what is one more app on the cell phone. It is worth it. Another great feature is the easy installation. I have an older house built in the late 1970's that has a heat lamp installed in the bathroom ceiling. I used it a couple times and was not too impressed. I installed this in that location. I simply unscrewed the heat bulb and wired this light up to a wall plug, then used a socket adapter to plug it in. I had to custom make a 'ceiling' for this to attach to which I cut out of an old piece of PVC panel. It might be called FRP panel but it easy to cut with scissors. It all came out very nicely. So instead of an old heat lamp that never got used I now have a 'mood' light or simply additional lighting for the bathroom. Can a bathroom ever be too bright? I really like the huge variety of lighting effects this thing is capable of doing. Who thought a bathroom light could be fun!
Easy to install, nice bright lighting. Seems like it's high quality. I like that you can buy more lights and connect then to this one. I use my light for collectible display. Works great for that purpose.
This was a easy and fun install as I have been wanting to try my hand at installing one and I'm very much so a RGB nut.
In about 15 to 20 min I had this sucker up and running the light cool and warm function was handled by a assortment of apps but I would recommend using the one it says. I very much liked the smart features it came with allowing me to use Google assistant to access Google home
Via voice commands the app was intuitive and easy to get use to as I used similar apps if not the very same one. I was happy to see that the light could be grouped with other smart lights in my home. The RGB functions were pretty neat and very colorful but even in my small bedroom I was desiring another so the color would fill the room I suggest buying these in pairs or moving up to the 12 inch version.
The cool and warm lights was dimmable and very much so more than enough for a small bedroom.
All in all a pleasant little light with many features and very much so fun to play with until the cold weather storms struck a line out side and it never worked again was a bummer to see it go but more than served it's purpose.
I like the dual light feature; however, I have not been able to get the main light and the auxiliary light to turn on at the same time. I also have it integrated with Alexa and I cannot get the auxiliary (color) light to turn on with a schedule. This normally would be easy to install; however, I installed it inside a 4" can and the control box is about 5" metal but does not need to be that big; therefore, I cut the metal box smaller to fit. The auxiliary light has thousands of color options to program and it looks really cool when it is on and very unique looking.
The very first thing that’s gonna impress you is how insanity bright these lights are! The dispersion is excellent with eliminating many shadow spots created by conventional can lights.
The rbgai ring around the light is the feature that is what really sold me on these. There are many modes to choose from and even completely customizable by the user. Unfortunately you can’t use the down light with the ring light. I know it’s possible because they glitched once and they worked at the same time. That feature should be integrated .
The app is ok, there are some things that aren’t translated and some things that don’t make sense. You should be able to go from the ring light to downlight with one tap scene but cannot right now. I wish the app was compatible with HomeKit, you can use Siri Shortcuts but it kinda works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t.
Overall they are awesome, I started with 4, just bought 4 more and will be buying 8 more soon.
